The Piedmont Education Trust (PET) Foundation was established in 1992. Its purpose is to provide educational opportunities for the students of Piedmont City Schools.

The Foundation is an independent non-profit organization under the leadership of a Board of Directors. The membership of the Board is varied to reflect the community. It is made up of individuals with expertise in law, accounting, banking, education, business, and other fields. These individuals are dedicated to improving our city, state, and nation.

The Foundation provides support to the students of Piedmont City Schools in two major ways: teacher grant opportunities and student scholarships. Teachers are able to apply for funding for special projects for their classrooms that will enhance the educational process. Seniors at Piedmont High School were awarded over $14,000 in grants in 2009.

PET relies on support from the community and alumnus. There are many ways for you to actively support our drive for educational excellence. Among these are cash gifts, securities, personal property or real estate, trust arrangements, requests in wills, or naming the foundation beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

Annual contributions can be made to the Piedmont Education Trust in support of our mission. The categories of giving are : Membership - $25; Sustainer's Club - $100; President's Club - $500; and Founder's Club - $1,000. Your contribution to quality education is an investment in Piedmont's future. The most important thing to remember, however, is that every gift is important and every contribution will make a difference in the life of a young men and women in Piedmont.
